Based in Lymington, Hampshire – Herb UK started when three friends got together wanting to make natural hair products without harmful chemicals.
Today, Herb UK is a leading manufacturer of natural plant-based hair colour, care and styling cosmetics and home to two premium hair brands, Organic Colour Systems and Tints of Nature.

There was a requirement to replace the old automatic liquid filling machine which had become troublesome.
The old machine was not filling consistently, or capable of filling some of the thicker products, and both product changeover and set-up was taking far too long.
Cap Coder designed and supplied a CC570F twin head fully automatic liquid filling machine.
The custom-built CC570F incorporated servo driven volumetric gear pumps for more accurate and repeatable dosing with positive pneumatic shut-off nozzles to avoid dripping of the product.
The machine also has a servo driven nozzle lift, which means that recipes can be created for each product format storing the nozzle movement along with the product dose and pump speed on the machine’s internal memory in the HMI.
This means that any recipe can be recalled at the press of a button – saving time on product set-up and changeover.
We designed and custom-built a CC570F, the filling variant.
The CC570F incorporated servo driven volumetric gear pumps for more accurate and repeatable dosing.
We provided telephone support backed up with frequent onsite visits to train operators.
